A terrorists’ leader, popularly known as Kachalla Balleri has revealed that his gang has stocked enough new Naira notes in their camp, stressing that they have purchased weapons with the redesigned notes.
In a video making the rounds, the terrorist was sighted flaunting the newly redesigned naira notes which is yet to circulate in many parts of the country.
Recall that the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele had claimed that the decision to redesign the N200, N500 and N1000 notes would help in reducing activities of terrorists.
But Balleri countered the CBN governor, stating that only the poor masses would be negatively affected.
“The poor don’t know what naira redesign means. Some of them don’t have N10,000.
“We have bought weapons with new notes so that we can fight them. Now we are waiting to hear what they will say next.
“We are doing what we are doing for the sake of God and the poor, not the government. We have no problem with whosoever wishes to relate well with us,” he said.
