Some parts of the Federal Capital Territory will be without power supply for hours on Thursday following planned maintenance by the Transmission Company of Nigeria on its 132/22kV Apo Transmission Substation.

The General Manager of Public Affairs, TCN, Ndidi Mbah, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.

According to her, the maintenance of its Apo substation is expected to commence from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Consequently, the power supply from Abuja Distribution Company to customers within Asokoro and its environs will be interrupted for maintenance.

“The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) hereby states that its maintenance crew will carry out scheduled maintenance on its H5 33kV feeder in 132/33kV Apo Transmission Substation.

“The Maintenance exercise will be held today, Thursday, 7th December, 2023from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for only four hours.

“Consequently, Abuja DisCo will be unable to supply electricity to its customers within Asokoro and its Environs for four hours”, the statement reads.
