Analysts say naira stability may persist. Could that help ISPs manage equipment imports, reduce pricing volatility, and improve speeds—or will forex and power costs still keep broadband expensive?

If the naira holds steady, ISPs can plan imports and backhaul better, but power and right-of-way fees still drive costs. Households can help themselves: where fibre is available, it usually beats 4G for stability. If you must use 4G, add an external antenna, place the router high and central, and wire critical devices over Ethernet. Estates should negotiate group deals — ISPs respond to volume with better SLAs. For transparency, regulators can publish a monthly scorecard of uptime and complaint resolution by provider. Prices may not crash, but stability and service quality can improve if costs become predictable and providers face real competition grounded in data.
